DESCRIPTION:Dust off your parachute pants\, leg warmers\, skinny ties\, Members Only jackets and Capezio shoes! \nG5 is Rockland County’s longest running 80’s party band. Initially formed for a one-off show in the summer of 1992\, 29 years later the band is going stronger than ever. The group is comprised of five close friends\, all of whom lived and breathed this music throughout their high school days. Together they designed & honed a fun\, high-energy retro experience complete with costumes and props that will take you back to the “glory days” when MTV actually showed music videos. Every G5 performance includes all the quintessential hits of the decade\, recreated faithfully and with love by some of the area’s most prolific musicians. Fronted by veteran performer & vocalist\, John Carson\, the band plays a wide variety of music from artists such as The Cars\, J. Geils Band\, Loverboy\, Prince\, The Police\, Men At Work\, Squeeze\, Elvis Costello\, Huey Lewis\, David Bowie\, The Knack and too many more to mention. It’s guaranteed to have you out of your seat shouting\, “This band is just what I needed!”
